Relationship Development Intervention® Program
RDI® is a program that was developed by Dr. Steven Gutstein and Dr. Rachelle Sheely at The Connections Center in Houston, TX. It states on their site: "The RDI® Program for ASD is a tailored set of objectives, extending from the Family Guided Participation Program and intended to target the core deficits of individuals with the diagnostic distinction, Autism Spectrum Disorder." A very important aspect of consultation is the Learning Support Community and Dynamic Consultation Tool. It is an on-line system provided by The Connection Center which parents join to access objectives, assignments, e-learning modules, other parents and consultants, webinars, a resource library of video, and most importantly, their consultant. Parents and their consultant meet to communicate about ongoing assignments. They share multimedia feedback uploaded to their personal account. This tool becomes an avenue of communicating, tracking progress, creating reports, and being mentored by a community. You must be working with a consultant to access this tool.
